Morison KSi delegates meet in Marrakesh
23 delegates gathered in Marrakesh, Morocco on 24-26 July for the annual Morison KSi Africa conference.
The conference was opened by Aziz El Khyari, Casablanca Finance City (CFC), who provided an insightful keynote speech on the importance of investment in Africa, the opportunities for sustainable economic growth and financial incentives to attract foreign investors.
The conference welcomed a number of other high-profile speakers, including Jamil Ampomah, Director of sub-Saharan Africa, ACCA, who presented ACCA’s report Balancing Rules and Flexibility for Growth. Allaa Ridouan, IsFin, explored the possibilities of the implementation of Islamic finance and creating more investment opportunities in Africa. Martin Bissett, Upward Spiral Partnership, led an interactive session on how to develop a pipeline of prospective clients.
The agenda also included a variety of presentations by member firms covering technical topics, business opportunities and professional case studies.
As well as the professional sessions, delegates and companions enjoyed a memorable social programme, exploring some of Marrakesh’s famous sights and sampling traditional Moroccan cuisine.
