Record breaking attendance for Africa conference!

Morison KSi Africa welcomed its highest ever conference attendance on Tuesday the 7th of July, at the region’s first virtual conference, with 57 delegates from 20 countries.

“Building Opportunity” was the overarching theme of the conference. The first session led by Memoria Lewis and Sarah Hanna from Morison KSi’s Global Executive Office shared updates on the association’s current priorities and plans for 2021 and reaffirmed Morison KSi’s updated values. 

We were delighted to welcome Sabine Bastisch from Samari Consulting who led an excellent interactive session ‘Building tools for success – improving and refreshing our approach to client relationships’. Tyna Makpo (Pedabo, Nigeria) led a lively session on ‘Building opportunity for Morison KSi firms across the region’ where team discussions were brilliantly facilitated by Pedabo’s group of future leaders.

Some of the regions’ Managing Partners, Taher Hadjkacem (THK & Partners, Tunisia), Jean-Pierre Larroze (Aplitec, France), Marco Patrizi (Tuffias Sandberg, South Africa) and Ajibade Fashina (Pedabo, Nigeria) led a panel discussion on ‘How we position ourselves to win and retain clients’ which looked at harnessing competitive advantage for member firms.

Software focus’ was the final session of the day with two firms, Auditia (Morocco) and SEFIC International (Benin), sharing software that their firms have developed followed by a panel discussion on ‘Audit of the Future’ led by Peter Asemah (Pedabo, Nigeria), Dr Ahmed Hassanien (AHG Chartered Accountants, Egypt) and Frank Adanu (SNG Pedabo, Ghana).

Morison KSi Africa is seeing some fantastic development, with a number of new and prospective firms for 2020. This conference demonstrated the increased collaboration and re-energised engagement within the region.  An exciting future lies ahead for Morison KSi’s fastest growing region!
